“What was most impressive of all about the BB’s terrific performance was its mid-range get up and go: in fourth, it took a mere 5.3 seconds to blast from 100 to 120mph and only 7.3 seconds to cover the same band in fifth. Nor did the urge tail off until the speedo (usually about 10 per cent fast) was showing around 170mph.”
